Members of MONSTA X, Shownu and Hyungwon, are set to unveil a new side of their vocal chemistry.
Shownu and Hyungwon will release their second mini album, 'LOVE ME,' on major music platforms at 6 PM on May 21. On May 11, the duo offered a preview of the album’s title track and overall concept.
'LOVE ME' captures different forms and emotions of love, enhanced by the pair’s more delicate and mature sensibilities. The album highlights a restrained mood and sophisticated atmosphere.
The title track, “Do You Love Me,” combines heavy yet rhythmic drum sounds with brass, guitar, and the duo’s captivating vocals.
The lyrics are also expected to stand out. The song portrays the tense emotional push and pull between two people who are uncertain about love, demanding answers from one another while trapped in a precarious emotional tug-of-war. The track is expected to deliver a highly addictive sound.

The mini album contains seven tracks in total, including the solo songs “Around & Go” by Shownu and “NO AIR” by Hyungwon, further showcasing their deepened musical style.
On the same day, the duo also unveiled a concept film and photos on social media for the “Losing Control” version. The video features the two sitting blankly and lethargically inside a messy room.
They appear frustrated while staring at phones that never receive a message, expressing inner turmoil and emotional conflict as they toss and turn. The phrase “Do You Love Me” is repeatedly written throughout the visuals.
The concept photos also left a strong impression, with the pair captivating viewers through intense makeup and piercing gazes. Their casual styling added to the dark, moody atmosphere, heightening anticipation for the upcoming release.
