Taeyong of NCT has further intensified excitement for his comeback with the release of the performance video for album track "STORM."
Released on May 11 KST through the NCT YouTube channel and other official platforms, the performance video combines the track’s impactful sound with powerful group choreography, once again highlighting Taeyong’s reputation as a top-tier performer.
“STORM” is a grand hip-hop track built around heavy 808 bass, dynamic marching drums, and signature dubstep elements. Taeyong’s versatile rap styles add depth to the song, while the cold and mechanical rap flow featured in the chorus delivers a fresh and striking atmosphere.
The choreography also amplifies the song’s intensity. Explosive chorus sections incorporate krump-inspired movements that match the track’s weighty sound, while the groovy hip-hop dance featured in the verses and pre-chorus showcases Taeyong’s fluid dance lines and refined performance style.
The performance video visually portrays a narrative in which Taeyong’s footsteps awaken a sleeping world. The choreography begins in a minimalist setting before transitioning into a dramatic blue-night backdrop at the climax, complete with lightning and storm effects that heighten the sense of catharsis.
Taeyong’s first full-length album 'WYLD' will be released on May 18 at 6 p.m. KST. The album includes 10 tracks, including the title song of the same name, with Taeyong participating in the production process throughout the project.
