RESCENE opens up about bold gyaru concept

BY Minsoo-Kim · May 5, 2026

RESCENE has opened up about their bold styling choices and growing identity as a group.

In a recently released pictorial with AtStyle, the five members showcased their refreshing and charming visuals while reflecting on their journey just past their second debut anniversary. Known for their unique fragrance-inspired concept, the group successfully wrapped up promotions for “Runaway,” demonstrating noticeable growth.

We’ve upgraded our performances, and a lot of our ideas were reflected in the choreography,” the members shared. “We’re proud that more people recognized RESCENE through this promotion.”

With well-received tracks like “Heart Drop,” “LOVE ATTACK,” and “Counting Star,” the group has earned praise as a “hit-song gem.” The members expressed sincere gratitude, saying they already loved the songs themselves, making the positive response from fans even more meaningful.

A key factor behind their musical output has been the support of their CEO, a Berklee College of Music graduate. “We feel like family now,” they said. “They’re very detail-oriented musically, which can be nerve-wracking, but we rely on them a lot. They understand each member’s strengths and assign parts accordingly.”

RESCENE also highlighted their agency’s open-minded environment, which allows them to freely explore new ideas. “We try everything we want to do,” they said. “We’re thankful we can attempt concepts like gyaru styling or casual livestreams that might be restricted elsewhere.”

Recently, member Woni gained attention through her personal YouTube content, helping spark interest in the gyaru concept. She added with a laugh, “I’d love for all members to try full gyaru styling on a music show someday.”

The group also expressed confidence in communicating with fans, sharing that they once spent up to seven hours chatting during a livestream.

Looking ahead, RESCENE shared their aspirations: “We want to become a group remembered as role models by future idols. We hope more people will dream of becoming idols after seeing us.”
