The miraculous "reverse climb" of "Love Attack" is being attributed to the unexpected, viral success of member Woni's YouTube channel, launched some time in February of last year. Prior to her own YouTube channel launch, Woni began garnering attention for her regular appearance on a YouTube series hosted by comedians Lee Sun Min and Yoo Young Woo.
Afterward, Woni began showcasing a series of fresh content with her fellow RESCENE members which began going viral, beginning with a "Gyaru girl" experience guided by Japanese member Minami. In particular, Minami went viral through this video for her "Gyaru attitude", producing a "Geoje Ya-ho" meme. Another video featuring member Zena and Woni's conversation in Korean satoori (dialect) has also gone viral, spurring more demand for the chemistry between the satoori sisters. Back on May 22 KST, the city of Geoje officially selected RESCENE as honorary ambassadors.
Meanwhile, in response to the unexpected "reverse climb" of "Love Attack" on Melon charts, Woni promised viewers that she would dress up as her look-alike Pokémon, Charmander, and dance to "Love Attack" if the song entered the 'Top 100'.
RESCENE is a 5-member girl group under The Muze Entertainment and consists of members Woni, Liv, Minami, May, and Zena. You can watch the full MV for RESCENE's "Love Attack" below.
