SEVENTEEN’s The8 becomes youngest-ever cover star of AD China

SEVENTEEN member The8 has made history as the youngest-ever cover model for AD China.

According to Pledis Entertainment on May 20 KST, The8 appeared as the cover star of the magazine’s May issue, setting a new record as the publication’s youngest featured cover model.

Architectural Digest, widely known as “AD,” is a global lifestyle and design magazine originally founded in the United States in the 1920s and currently published across nine countries worldwide.

The pictorial was shot at Villa Arconati, a historic architectural landmark in Milan, Italy, during Milan Design Week 2026 held last month.

In the photos, The8 displayed a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere while posing among classical stone structures. His ability to effortlessly pull off long, dramatic gowns once again highlighted his unique fashion sensibility and artistic aura.

During the accompanying interview, The8 shared his philosophy on creativity, saying, “Art is not a conclusion, but a discussion.”

The artist recently released self-produced songs "四月的漂流 (April Drift)" and "不见了 (Love is gone)". Reflecting on his music, he explained, “I hope music resonates emotionally with listeners beyond personal expression. I want people to discover their own emotions through music, which is why music should always remain open.”

Beyond music, The8 has continuously expanded his creative world through dance, visual art, and various artistic projects. One representative example is his 'THE 8 Contemporary ART' project, where he expresses his emotions and perspectives through different art forms.

Recently, The8 has also strengthened his presence as a solo performer by appearing as a headliner at major music festivals in China, further proving his growing global influence both on and off the stage.
