Global K-pop fandoms are buzzing as JYP Entertainment recently filed a wave of mysterious new trademarks with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. Among the names, "KIRAKLE" has emerged as the frontrunner for a potential new girl group or unit, drawing parallels to the pre-debut rollout of NMIXX.
On May 1, records confirmed that JYP filed for four new trademarks on April 23: KIRAKLE, TIRUMICO, CAPPUSIA, and CHERYSHA. While all four were filed in both Korean and English, their designated classifications vary significantly.
The intended use for these names appears to be split between entertainment services and lifestyle branding:
The theory that KIRAKLE is a new group carries weight due to JYP's historical patterns. The company filed for the "NMIXX" trademark in September 2021, exactly five months before the group’s official debut in February 2022. If this timeline holds, a late 2025 or early 2026 debut for KIRAKLE could be on the horizon.
The filings also signal JYP’s aggressive push into the goods and lifestyle markets. Between March and May 2025, the company filed trademarks like "DOUBLETHECAKE" and "D25" across a wide range of categories, including cosmetics and apparel.
Notably, the name "dodree," which was part of those earlier filings, has already been confirmed as a female duo set to debut under JYP’s subsidiary, INNIT Entertainment, in February 2026. The recent filings for TIRUMICO and CHERYSHA are viewed as an extension of this IP diversification strategy.
