TWICE member Jeongyeon shared an encouraging update on her health and fitness journey, saying she feels “so good” after overcoming past health challenges and focusing on exercise. The comment came during a recent appearance alongside fellow member Jihyo and Seventeen’s Seungkwan.
On May 14, a video titled 'World★Star TWICE Sisters, Alcohol-Free but Drunk on Vibes' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 117. In the video, Seungkwan met Jeongyeon and Jihyo, who have been managing a demanding schedule that includes both domestic and international tour commitments.
Noticing their energy despite the packed itinerary, Seungkwan joked, “I thought you’d look tired, but you’re actually radiant.” Jeongyeon responded positively, saying, “I feel so healthy. I feel really good right now.”
Jihyo added that she and Jeongyeon had been “workout buddies” throughout the tour. “We went to saunas a lot, hit the gym often, and did plenty of running,” she explained, highlighting how the two have maintained their fitness routines even during a grueling schedule.
Seungkwan then asked whether they were also eating well to maintain their health. Jihyo revealed that the tour, which includes a total of 80 shows, has been one of their longest yet. She shared a humorous detail, saying that she and Jeongyeon each bought portable cooking pots during the tour. “Jeongyeon made kalguksu, and I made budae-jjigae,” she said, drawing laughter from those present.
Jeongyeon’s renewed focus on health comes after she previously took a break in 2020 due to a herniated disc in her neck and experienced side effects from steroid treatment, including weight gain and symptoms associated with Cushing’s syndrome. Her recent remarks reflect a positive shift as she continues to prioritize fitness and recovery while promoting with TWICE.
