CORTIS has set a new record on the Spotify Korea Daily Top Song chart, with their track 'REDRED' achieving its 50th number one ranking. This milestone, reached on June 20, marks the longest and most number one placements for a single boy group song since the chart began compiling data in early 2021, according to their agency Big Hit Music on June 22.
The track 'REDRED' also surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify by June 16. This achievement came just 57 days after its release on April 20, making it the fastest song by a boy group debuting in the last five years to reach this streaming count.
Further showcasing their widespread popularity, 'REDRED' topped the YouTube Music Weekly Popular Songs chart for the period of June 12-18, climbing from second place the previous week to secure its first number one on that chart. CORTIS has now dominated the weekly charts of major domestic music platforms, including Melon, Bugs, Spotify, and YouTube Music. Their second mini-album, 'GREENGREEN', which features 'REDRED' as its title track, was released on May 4. The album also ranked second on the Hanteo Weekly Album Chart for the third week of June (June 15-21), selling 119,358 copies.
Despite being a rookie group active for less than a year, CORTIS has maintained exceptional long-term success on music charts. This follows previous achievements, as their first mini-album's B-side tracks, 'GO!' and 'FaSHioN', also exceeded 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify. The group continues to expand its global presence, having performed at the Allo Bank Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia, on June 20, and is scheduled to attend Paris Men's Fashion Week, which begins on June 23.
