Han Hyo Joo donates 50 million KRW to fight child hunger worldwide

Han Hyo Joo has once again made a meaningful donation to support children in need.

Her agency, BH Entertainment, announced on June 5, “Han Hyo Joo has continued to spread positive influence. She donated 50 million KRW (about 32,141 USD) to international relief and development NGO JTS.”

The donation will be used to help fight child hunger around the world. It will also support students who are unable to receive an education due to financial hardship.

A representative explained, “Han Hyo Joo decided to make the donation because she wanted to give back the love she has received from fans throughout her long career.”

Han Hyo Joo is well known in the entertainment industry for her charitable efforts. In 2022, she donated more than 100 million KRW (approx. 64,282 USD) cumulatively to the Community Chest of Korea, earning membership in the organization’s Honor Society.

She also established the “Hyo Joo Fund” through Beautiful Foundation. In the past, she donated 50 million KRW to facilities supporting single mothers and another 50 million KRW to victims affected by severe flooding.

Her contributions have extended beyond financial support. Last month, Han Hyo Joo also participated in a poverty eradication fundraising event held in Myeongdong, Seoul, through talent donation activities.

Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo is preparing to film 'Moving 2' and MBC’s upcoming drama 'Your Ground (working title).'
