I.O.I brought its 10th anniversary reunion project to an emotional close with a heartfelt final broadcast appearance filled with laughter, nostalgia, and tears.
The group appeared on the June 5 KST episode of KBS2’s music talk show 'The Seasons', where they reunited for a special stage alongside fellow guests and performed their anniversary single “Suddenly.”
During a pre-recorded interview, Jung Chae Yeon became emotional while reflecting on the reunion. “I truly enjoyed every moment of these promotions,” she shared. “I was so happy performing on stage again, and now that it’s ending, I feel overwhelmed with sadness.”
The members also revealed a humorous rule they created ahead of the reunion, nicknamed the “No Seductive Concept” policy. Yoo Yeon Jung explained that many fans still remember I.O.I through bright and youthful songs such as “Very Very Very.”
“We thought it might feel strange if we suddenly returned looking overly mature or glamorous after ten years,” she said, prompting laughter from the audience.
Ironically, the group later surprised viewers by performing their hit songs “Very Very Very” and “PICK ME” with a more sophisticated and mature twist, drawing enthusiastic reactions.
One of the most touching moments came when a time-capsule video recorded during the group’s 2016 promotions was unexpectedly revealed. Watching messages they had recorded for their future selves ten years earlier, the members became visibly emotional and shed tears as they revisited memories from their debut era.
The members shared that the appearance marked the final official broadcast of their 10th anniversary reunion project. Representing the group, Lim Na Young recorded a new video message addressed to “I.O.I ten years from now,” expressing hope that the members would one day reunite again and create new memories together.
