Jang Na Ra donates 20 million KRW (approx. 12,824 USD) to animal shelter, continues 10-year support for abandoned animals

Jang Na Ra once again demonstrated her unwavering love for animals by donating a large sum to a shelter for abandoned animals.

On June 4, the abandoned animal shelter Angel’s Haven revealed through its official social media account, “Actress Jang Na Ra has sent 20 million KRW (approx. 12,824 USD),” expressing gratitude for her generous contribution.

The shelter also shared the long-standing relationship they have built with the actress over the years. “Cheonbogeum Shelter has a 40-year history. Many celebrities have visited throughout the years. However, Jang Na Ra’s support was never a one-time volunteer effort. For nearly 10 years, she has continued to build a relationship with the animals at our shelter through steady volunteer work and donations,” the organization stated.

According to the shelter, Jang Na Ra’s acts of kindness have not been carried out alone, but together with her entire family, who have consistently supported the cause over the years.

A shelter representative added, “Jang Na Ra and her family have tremendous love for animals. They are compassionate and deeply loyal people. Whenever we faced difficulties, they never forgot to help us, which is why the animals have been able to live happily.”

The representative continued, “Top actress Jang Na Ra has maintained a nearly 10-year bond with these animals, continuously volunteering and donating while comforting these poor animals in need. You are the most beautiful and wonderful angel.”

Jang Na Ra’s charitable efforts have long been regarded as one of the entertainment industry’s most heartwarming stories. Last year, she received a Presidential Citation from the South Korean government in recognition of her contributions to spreading a culture of giving through more than 20 billion KRW in cumulative donations since her debut, as well as her continued volunteer work supporting underprivileged children in local communities.
