Actor Jo Jung Suk is returning with a new crime drama project.
On June 9, Netflix unveiled the casting lineup for its upcoming series ‘Paperman’, confirming that Jo Jung Suk, Park Hae Soo, and Claudia Kim will star in the production.
‘Paperman’ follows the story of a man who spent his entire life creating fake products without ever receiving recognition from anyone, only to enter a dangerous world after producing flawless counterfeit bills.
Jo Jung Suk will play Cha Myung Jo, an employee at a company that manufactures counterfeit character stickers. Living as a husband in name only, he accidentally becomes involved in producing fake currency.
Park Hae Soo takes on the role of Oh Seung Up, the chief anti-counterfeiting researcher at the Mint’s counterfeit investigation division. Known for his cold judgment and relentless persistence, he gradually corners Myung Jo.
Claudia Kim will portray Go Hye Seok, Myung Jo’s wife and an elite judge. Hye Seok is described as a cold and strong-willed character who lives with hidden cracks within her seemingly perfect family life.
The series will be directed by Lee Il Hyung, who previously showcased his flair for genre-driven storytelling through projects such as the Netflix series Karma and films A Violent Prosecutor and Remember.
The release date for ‘Paperman’ has not yet been announced. The series will be available on Netflix at a later date.
