Joshua took the stage at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on June 25, delivering a speech on behalf of all 13 SEVENTEEN members at the 'UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together' event.
Speaking about the group's 'Going Together – For Youth Creativity and Well-Being' program, Joshua highlighted how young people find comfort through music, healing through art, and confidence through sports. He stressed the power of collaboration and turning ideas into real change through resources, mentoring, and opportunity.
Drawing on SEVENTEEN's decade-long journey, he acknowledged the pressures young people face — but insisted no milestone is achieved alone, and that trust and unity make individuals stronger.
"Do not let anyone, not even yourselves, diminish your dreams," Joshua told the audience.
SEVENTEEN became UNESCO's first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors in June 2024 after joining the 13th Youth Forum in November 2023. The group donated $1 million to launch the Global Youth Grant Scheme supporting youth creativity and well-being projects, with additional contributions from the 'JOOPITER presents: sacai x SEVENTEEN' charity auction.
