Psy's highly anticipated 'Summer Swag 2026' concert series is set to kick off on June 27 in Uijeongbu, promising another season of exhilarating performances and a highly anticipated guest lineup.
The 'Summer Swag' concert, renowned for its iconic water cannons and Psy's extensive catalog of hits, first launched in 2011. It has since solidified its position as a premier summer festival in South Korea, attracting immense crowds annually, with a brief hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A significant factor in 'Summer Swag's enduring popularity is its history of featuring an incredible roster of top-tier artists. IU famously appeared for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018, captivating audiences. The stage has also welcomed Sung Si Kyung, Rain, Zico, HyunA, Tiger JK, Jessi, Dynamic Duo, and Kim Bum Soo, showcasing Psy's impressive network.
In 2022, BTS member Suga made a surprise appearance, joining Psy for a unique duet performance of their global hit "That That," which Suga also produced and featured on. The 2025 Incheon concert was particularly memorable, featuring BLACKPINK's Rosé, who performed her solo tracks for over 30,000 fans, and even sang "Apartment" with Psy. G-Dragon also delivered an electrifying set, including "Power," "Home Sweet Home," "Crayon," and a passionate joint performance of "Crooked" with Psy, enthusiastically shedding his hat and shirt amidst the water cannons. G-Dragon playfully remarked, "Superstars must come when a superstar calls," expressing his deep trust and loyalty to Psy.
Another exciting aspect is the concert's opening video, which has previously featured prominent figures such as Seo Jang Hoon, Kim Bo Sung, Ma Dong Seok, Heo Sung Tae, Park Ji Hwan, and Cha Eun Woo. For the 2026 show, Psy teased fans on June 23 via his personal social media, hinting at a collaboration with "OOO feat. OOO." This has led to widespread speculation that actor Oh Jung Se, currently enjoying immense popularity for his role as Choi Sung Gon in the film 'Wild Thing,' might make an appearance.
Following its Uijeongbu debut, the 'Summer Swag 2026' tour will continue through Daegu, Incheon, and Seoul, before wrapping up with two final performances in Daejeon on August 22 and 23.
