Actor Pyo Jihoon (Block B) recently shared humorous anecdotes about his dedication to his role in the new Netflix series 'True Education', which premiered on June 5.
According to Sports Chosun on June 16, Pyo Jihoon met with the outlet in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where he revealed he attempted laser beard removal to look more like a student for his undercover mission in the show. He found the procedure painful and only underwent it once, later regretting not continuing for a more youthful appearance.
Pyo Jihoon lightheartedly mentioned that other high school actors in episode 2 didn't look as young as he expected, which made him feel more confident about his own appearance. He expressed a desire to wear a school uniform again for a potential second season of 'True Education', promising to manage his appearance more diligently if the opportunity arises.
He also spoke about the unexpected difficulty of acting out being hit, noting that it's crucial for the actor being hit to perform well for the scene to look convincing. Pyo Jihoon added that he had no desire to hit others but would be interested in learning martial arts for his character, Bong Geun-dae, in a potential season 2.
The Netflix series 'True Education' follows the active efforts of a school protection agency to rectify issues from the perspective of victims. It is directed by Hong Jong-chan, known for 'Juvenile Justice' and 'Dear My Friends', with Pyo Jihoon starring as the brilliant official Bong Geun-dae.
