The hit Korean drama 'She Was Pretty' is being remade in Mexico.

According to Mexican media outlet El Universal on June 7, Televisa is producing a remake of the popular Korean drama 'She Was Pretty.'

Originally aired in 2015, 'She Was Pretty' is a romantic comedy centered on first loves who reunite after 15 years apart. Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Joon starred in the lead roles.

The series sparked a K-rom-com phenomenon and gained widespread love for its portrayal of inner beauty over outward appearances. Following its success, the drama was previously remade in countries including China, Vietnam, and Japan.

The Mexican adaptation reportedly began filming last month. Actors Geraldine Galvan and Daniel Gama Moreno will take on the roles originally played by Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Joon.

Meanwhile, the Mexican version of 'She Was Pretty' is scheduled to premiere on Canal 5 in the third quarter of this year.
