TREASURE has returned with a bold new sound rooted in YG Entertainment's signature hip hop style, and the group's latest release is already showing impressive momentum.

According to YG Entertainment on June 1, TREASURE's fourth mini album, 'NEW WAVE,' surpassed 1 million preorders ahead of its official release, putting the group on track to become a million seller.

The album has drawn particular attention because it marks the first time since the group's debut that every track on the record is built around a hip hop foundation. Fans have welcomed the change, praising TREASURE's return to the signature YG sound associated with executive producer Yang Hyun Suk.

The members described the album as "MZ YG," combining YG's classic hip hop identity with the group's own generational style. Member Haruto explained that the group aimed to blend YG's roots with a more contemporary approach and jokingly warned fans to "prepare some milk" while listening, describing the album as a "spicier" sound compared to their previous releases.

The title track of the album is "If I." The record also includes "Zoom Zoom" and "NALLY-NA," a high energy track featuring the group's rap unit of Choi Hyun Suk, Haruto, and Yoshi.

Alongside the album release, TREASURE is set to launch its new 'NEW WAVE' tour from Sept. 19 to 21 at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.

Named after the album, the tour will span 20 shows across eight major cities in Asia, allowing the group to meet fans throughout the region.
