Rising 5th-generation girl group Hearts2Hearts is set to make their official debut in Japan this coming August.
According to their agency, SM Entertainment, on July 7, the group will release their first Japanese single, 'Iconic Heart,' on August 12. Fans will get an early listen when the single's three tracks are pre-released on global music platforms on August 10.
Anticipation for their Japanese debut is high, as Hearts2Hearts has already established a strong presence in the country. Their first mini-album, 'Focus,' previously topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart, while their single "Style" hit number one on the Billboard Japan Heatseekers Songs chart. Their latest release, 'Lemon Tang,' also secured the number two spot on the Oricon Daily Album Chart.
The group has further connected with local fans through various activities, including releasing a Japanese version of their song "Rude!" and singing the opening theme for the Japanese broadcast of 'Saekom-dalkom Catch! Teenieping.'
This move follows a period of significant growth for the 8-member group. Their second mini-album 'Lemon Tang,' released on June 22, became a half-million seller with 592,312 first-week sales, setting a new personal record. The album also topped the Circle Weekly Retail Album Chart, and its title track dominated charts on China's largest music platform, QQ Music.
