The discord between Trump and Musk intensified over disagreements on Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill.' Musk criticized the bill as a “disgusting abomination,” warning of political backlash and adding trillions to the already inflated U.S. national debt. In retaliation, Trump dismissed Musk's influence, stating he is focused on other issues.
The feud escalated when Musk accused Trump of being in the Jeffrey Epstein files, alleging that the president is suppressing the release of files that include his name.
