Jungkook opened up about not having confidence in the early days of BTS' debut.
On the March 24th episode of 'You Quiz on the Block', Yoo Jae Suk asked Jungkook what he would tell his past self, and the BTS member expressed, "I don't want to tell him anything. I'm who I am today because I ran into a lot of things and was criticized. I'm always thankful to my members who always took care of me, criticized, and complained."
He also said about the early days of his debut, "Everything was so big and scary when I first came to Seoul. I questioned how I would live on my own. After a few months, I started missing my mom. I was eating cup ramen, and I missed her so I cried." Jungkook continued, "After our debut, I wondered about my place as a main vocal. The main vocals in other teams sang so well, danced well, and were so handsome. I wondered about myself. I wondered whether it was right that I was a main vocal of this team."
However, Jungkook said he realized the only person who can make him improve is himself, and he began practicing his singing everywhere he went.
