I.O.I unveils “Suddenly” MV, marking emotional comeback for 10th anniversary reunion

I.O.I is reuniting to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut, returning with a long-awaited new mini album and special activities for fans.

On May 19 at 6 PM KST, I.O.I released their third mini album, 'I.O.I : LOOP,' across major music streaming platforms. The project marks the group’s first release in approximately nine years and reflects on the past decade since their debut, capturing both nostalgia and the sincerity of their reunion.

Members who have since pursued successful individual careers across the entertainment industry came back together to create renewed musical synergy. The album is described as a heartfelt reflection on their shared journey and the emotional bond that continues to connect them despite years apart.

The title track, "Suddenly," is a synth-pop song that delicately portrays sudden waves of longing and lingering memories. Member Jeon So Mi, a solo artist and former I.O.I member, participated in writing the lyrics, adding emotional depth and authenticity to the song’s narrative of time passed and reconnection. The track is further highlighted by a dreamy, atmospheric outro that evokes resurfacing emotions and unfinished sentiments. 

Alongside the release, a music video for “Suddenly” has also been unveiled, showcasing the members’ diverse charms and visuals as they reunite on screen.

In addition, I.O.I will hold a three-day solo concert from May 29 to 31 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, further celebrating their 10th anniversary with fans through live performances and special stages.
