The South Korean video surpassed 7.041 Billion views dethroning the mega-hit "Despacito," by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, which has topped the platform since August 2017, according to the firm.
The song "Baby Shark," which was released in June 2016 as part of a series of PINKFONG nursery rhymes, has become a global phenomenon with its ultra-catchy melody and addictive lyrics; it says, "Baby Shark, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. "
The song was viral in south-east Asia, then later in the US and Europe. The song was even featured on global music charts, ranking 32nd on ‘Billboard Hot 100 chart’ and 6th on the UK's Top Album chart, Official Charts.
The song's creator thanked the song’s listeners for their love of the song.
