YGX's Yell has been selected as a member of Korea's national breakdancing team.
On November 27 KST, the 'Street Woman Fighter' dancer took to her personal Instagram to announce, "I took the first place today, and I became a member of Korean national team! I felt a little pressured but I was able to do it thanks to all of your support."
She then continued in Korean, "There were many things I had to endure, and there are so many things I want to say, but now I've really become a national representative. I will repay everyone who has been supporting me and giving me love with an even better me! Thank you."
The announcement was paired with images of Yell participating in the 'Breaking K Final 2021' in Seoul on November 27, where she secured first place. Not only did she receive a trophy and a cash prize of 2.5 million KRW (~2,090 USD), but a video shows her celebrating with a gifted cake.
As the winner, she also gets to represent Korea at a number of international competitions, including the '2022 Asian Games' in Hangzhou, China.
Meanwhile, in response to the announcement, other members of YGX (Lee Jung and Yeojin) and the 'Street Woman Fighter' family (LACHICA's Rian and Holy Bang's Honey J) left congratulatory messages.
