Recently, there have been a series of reports regarding several high-profile artists severing ties with Scooter Braun and HYBE America.
Scooter Braun, a renowned music manager and entrepreneur, has played a critical role in shaping the careers of numerous global superstars. Therefore, the news of several celebrities parting ways with Braun has created shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry.

Recently, Scooter became the CEO of HYBE America after Braun's Ithaca Holdings was acquired by HYBE back in April 2021. HYBE America, a subsidiary of the South Korean entertainment powerhouse HYBE Corporation, represents some of the most prominent K-pop acts in the world. Earlier in the year, HYBE acquired Atlanta rap label Quality Control Music in a deal worth $300 million in cash.
The news of the departures of top artists from Scooter Braun and HYBE America has initiated intense discussions among K-netizens.
K-netizens commented, "Isn't that Scooter Braun guy who stole Taylor Swift's copyrights? I heard he isn't a great guy, a lot of people dislike him. So I guess everyone's leaving him," "Well after HYBE America took over Ithaca Holdings, these artists had no other activities. I guess they're escaping because of that," "Didn't Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Demi Lovato get (HYBE) shares?" "Woah," "What's going on?" "They had a lot of the top artists but they had no activities," "HYBE, lol," "HYBE wasted money buying the company," "Their stock value will decrease," "Wow, so many of them are leaving," "That 1 trillion spent to acquire Ithaca Holdings evaporated," and "Well, they're not idols so I guess they can leave the company whenever they want to."
