Netflix drama ‘Trigger’ starring Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang: What if guns were delivered in South Korea?

Netflix will release its new original series 'Trigger' on July 25, starring renowned actors Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang. 

The series explores a powerful and provocative question: What happens when guns are suddenly delivered to a gun-free nation like South Korea?

'Trigger' is a gun-action disaster thriller that follows the chaos that unfolds as unidentified illegal firearms begin to appear in South Korea. In a country known for strict gun control, the sudden arrival of weapons shakes the foundation of its society. The series combines intense psychological drama with fast-paced action, offering a suspenseful look at how easily the safety of a society can unravel.

Kim Nam Gil plays Lee Do, a former police officer who takes up arms again to fight for justice. Kim Young Kwang portrays Moon Baek, a mysterious figure who assists in resolving the gun-related incidents. The cast also includes strong performances from Park Hoon, Kil Hae Yeon, and Kim Won Hae.

The series is directed and written by Kwon Oh Seung, who gained international recognition for his film 'Midnight.' With 'Trigger,' he brings a new perspective to the depiction of firearms in Korean storytelling, focusing on the psychological and narrative impact of guns at the center of the story.
