BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has departed for her overseas schedule despite ongoing controversy surrounding her older brother.
On April 22 KST, Jisoo was spotted at Incheon International Airport heading to Paris, France. She appeared in a casual outfit featuring jeans and a loose T-shirt, paired with a cap and mask. Greeting fans at the scene, she offered a 90-degree bow, made eye contact, and waved before entering the departure gate.
The departure comes amid controversy involving her older brother. Reports previously surfaced claiming that a man identified as a family member of a well-known girl group member had been arrested on suspicion of sexually harassing a female streamer. Speculation quickly spread that the individual was Jisoo’s brother, further intensifying the issue. Additional claims from a person identifying as his wife, alleging domestic violence, added to the controversy.
In response, Jisoo’s agency BLISSOO denied all connections, stating that online speculation and reports regarding her brother are “not true.” The agency emphasized that Jisoo lives independently from her family and has no involvement, including financial or legal support, in the matter.
Meanwhile, Jisoo is scheduled to attend the Cannes International Series Festival on April 23, where she will receive the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award.
