‘Boyfriend on Demand’ addresses credit controversy involving BLACKPINK’s Jisoo “Production company error”

BY Demian09 · April 21, 2026

The production company of the Netflix original series 'Boyfriend on Demand' issued an official statement regarding a controversy surrounding staff credits linked to their lead actress, BLACKPINK member Jisoo.

On April 21, a representative from the production team told JTBC Entertainment News that shortly after the series was released in early March, they identified an error in the credits related to the actress’s management information. “We confirmed that there was a mistake in the production credits due to an internal error and took immediate steps to correct it,” the representative stated.

The issue arose when the ending credits of 'Boyfriend on Demand' incorrectly listed an individual, identified as “Mr. A,” as the CEO of Jisoo’s agency, BLISSOO. The production team clarified that this was a simple labeling mistake and has since been rectified.

The controversy gained further attention amid a separate case involving allegations of sexual harassment against a female streamer. A man in his 30s, identified as the alleged perpetrator, was reported to be the older brother of a member of a globally recognized girl group. Claims from the man’s alleged spouse also surfaced, accusing him of ongoing domestic abuse, which led to speculation linking the family member to Jisoo.

In response, Jisoo, through her legal representative on April 20, firmly distanced herself from the matter. She stated, “My family has no legal or professional connection to my agency, and the claim that my brother is the CEO is completely false.” She further explained that she began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently for a long time, making it difficult for her to be aware of or involved in her family member’s private affairs.

However, some critics pointed out that the same individual had been listed as a company representative in previously released content last year, raising questions about inconsistencies with Jisoo’s recent statement.
