Kim Nam Gil has carried out a special act of giving in honor of Korea’s Disability Awareness Day by donating essential supplies to a special education school overseas.
On April 20, Professor Seo Kyoung Duk of Sungshin Women’s University shared news of Kim Nam Gil’s sponsorship on social media, stating that he recently donated educational materials to Milal Special School in New Zealand.
The donation included laptops, tablet PCs, and other equipment, as well as materials needed for Korean language education. Kim Nam Gil personally covered the full cost of purchasing the items.
This initiative is part of the “Korean Language Globalization Campaign.” In line with King Sejong the Great’s birthday on May 15 and Korean Language Day on October 9, supplies have been regularly delivered to Korean language schools abroad.
To date, support has been provided to multiple Korean schools overseas, including those in New York, Vancouver, Budapest, and Mexico City.
Kim Nam Gil stated, “I will continue to actively seek out organizations around the world that are dedicated to teaching Korean and consistently provide support to them going forward.”
Meanwhile, Kim Nam Gil is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Mongyodowondo and has also confirmed his appearance in the new SBS drama Nightmare.
