Cha Ga Won warns of industry-shifting revelations on 'PD Note'

MBC’s investigative program 'PD Note' is set to shed light on a range of allegations surrounding singer MC Mong and One Hundred Label.

On May 29, 2026 (KST), the program released a preview video titled '[PD Note Episode 1509 Preview] The K-pop Business Secrets of MC Mong and the Chairman' via its official channel.

The teaser features interviews with industry figures discussing recent disputes involving One Hundred Label, which has been facing controversy over alleged unpaid settlements to artists.

One performance distribution company representative claimed, "Artists are struggling with unpaid settlements, so where did all that money go?" Meanwhile, a security company CEO in the entertainment industry alleged, "There are rumors in the industry that Chairman Cha Ga Won gave MC Mong several tens of billions of won."

Another interview featured a valuation expert claiming, "It looks like they are pulling in cash by bringing in Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun."

The teaser also drew attention to an appearance by Cha Ga Won, head of One Hundred Label, who directly participated in an interview with the production team. She stated, "If I speak, the entire entertainment industry could be turned upside down," adding further intrigue ahead of the broadcast.

MC Mong recently denied the allegations through multiple personal social media livestreams, rejecting claims related to company funds and illegal gambling.

He stated that he had received inquiries from 'PD Note' regarding financial management and alleged illegal gambling, but denied any wrongdoing, saying, "I don’t even understand what it means to use company funds for illegal gambling. Everything will be clear if the accounts are checked."

He further claimed he only worked as a producer and was not involved in accounting or financial operations within the company.

MC Mong also criticized the credibility of certain informants cited by 'PD Note' and preemptively addressed the allegations during his livestreams.

The upcoming episode of 'PD Note', covering MC Mong and Cha Ga Won’s controversies, is scheduled to air on June 2, 2026 (KST).
