MC Mong declares all-out war on 'PD Note,' says he will file a 100 billion KRW lawsuit "holding them responsible for destroying my life"

BY K-Soul · June 2, 2026

MC Mong has issued a strongly worded statement ahead of the upcoming broadcast of MBC’s current affairs program 'PD Note,' signaling that he plans to take aggressive legal action against the network.

On June 2, MC Mong posted a lengthy message on social media beginning with the words, “MBC producers, listen carefully.”

I intend to fight with my honor on the line,” he wrote. “I will also hold MBC accountable for definitively reporting, as they are now, that the money I repaid 18 years ago for a friend’s shopping mall investment was compensation for teeth extraction.

He continued, “I will file a lawsuit worth 100 billion KRW (approx. 65.9 million USD)over the responsibility for taking away the last 18 years of my life,” revealing his hardline stance.

MC Mong also referenced a specific individual, claiming, “You asked me to exchange it into cash and handed me ten 100 million KRW checks. Every single transaction is documented in my bank records.” He then added, “MBC cannot even mention the powerful figure who has gambled hundreds of billions of KRW in Korea and trillions overseas until now.”

The singer also strongly denied the various allegations surrounding him.

Referring to the subtitle of the upcoming 'PD Note' episode, MC Mong stated, “Until the day I was pushed out, there had never once been any settlement issues at the company. The artist settlement problems only began six months later, after I had already stepped away and was no longer involved.”

He further declared, “Even if I have to spend all of my assets, I will uncover all of your personal corruption,” adding, “I will do exactly what you did, even if it means holding a one-man picket protest.”

The June 2 broadcast of 'PD Note,' titled ‘MC Mong and the Chairman’s K-pop Business Secrets,’ is expected to cover various allegations surrounding Chairman Cha Ga Won, MC Mong, and One Hundred Label.

The conflict between MC Mong and MBC dates back to 2010, when reports surfaced regarding allegations that he attempted to evade mandatory military service.

Although MC Mong was acquitted of charges related to intentionally extracting healthy teeth to avoid enlistment, he was found guilty of obstructing public duties through deceptive means for delaying enlistment by citing civil service exam applications. He received a six-month prison sentence, suspended for one year, along with 120 hours of community service.

His latest statement, which references the past case while threatening a 100 billion KRW lawsuit, appears to stem from his belief that the media coverage at the time caused irreversible damage to his entertainment career.

One Hundred, currently at the center of the 'PD Note' broadcast, is a global producing company co-founded by MC Mong and PIARK Group Chairman Cha.

The company later expanded its influence by incorporating INB100, the agency representing EXO members Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen.

During that process, SM Entertainment alleged that outside forces had approached its artists and encouraged them to violate their exclusive contracts through tampering attempts, pointing to MC Mong and Chairman Cha as the figures behind it. MC Mong’s side denied the accusations, arguing that the interactions were merely musical exchanges and did not involve any illegal pre-contact.
