MC Mong announces emergency press live, promises to expose celebrities linked to illegal gambling

BY Alec06 · May 18, 2026

MC Mong has announced an emergency live broadcast where he says he will directly address the numerous rumors and controversies surrounding him — while also threatening to expose celebrities allegedly tied to illegal gambling activities.

On May 18, MC Mong revealed through social media that he would host a live press-style broadcast at 8 p.m. to discuss “all incidents and controversies” connected to him.

The singer took a strong stance, claiming he would unveil behind-the-scenes details involving media investigations and entertainment industry scandals. He specifically alleged that MBC program ‘PD Notebook’ had been conducting investigations in collusion with certain individuals.

MC Mong further escalated tensions by stating that he plans to expose a group allegedly involved in illegal “Baduk-i” gambling, including construction industry figures and celebrities connected to them.

I will reveal construction businessman Cha Jun-young, along with others involved in illegal gambling rings worth tens of billions of won, and even the celebrities associated with them,” he claimed in his statement.

The controversy comes amid ongoing issues surrounding entertainment company One Hundred, which MC Mong co-founded with chairman Cha Ga Won in 2023 before leaving the company in July last year.

Since then, the company has faced multiple disputes, including allegations involving unpaid settlement fees with artists such as Lee Seung Gi, Lee Mu Jin, VIVIZ, and EXO-CBX. Members of THE BOYZ have also reportedly filed complaints over alleged embezzlement issues.

Attention has additionally focused on a luxury building in Seoul’s Sinsa-dong that was previously reported to have been purchased by MC Mong’s side. However, company representatives later clarified that the property belongs to a corporation owned by chairman Cha Ga Won and has no direct connection to MC Mong.

With multiple allegations, industry rumors, and legal disputes intertwined, public attention is now centered on what MC Mong may reveal during his highly anticipated live broadcast.
