Rapper NO:EL, whose real name is Jang Yong Jun, recently visited the gravesite of his late father, Jang Je Won.
On May 29, 2026 (KST), NO:EL uploaded a photo to his social media account without any accompanying caption. The image showed him visiting his father's gravesite.
Several flower arrangements could be seen surrounding the grave. One bouquet, believed to have been prepared by NO:EL, drew attention for a ribbon bearing the message, "I love you, Dad."

Jang Je Won was found dead at an officetel in Seoul's Gangdong District at approximately 11:40 p.m. on March 31, 2025. At the time, he was under police investigation after being accused of sexually assaulting a former secretary in 2015 while serving as a university vice president in Busan.
Following his father's death, NO:EL had shared a lengthy message on 'Instagram' reflecting on his loss.
"I spent three days honoring my father and sending him off," he wrote. "On the day of the funeral, the weather was especially clear and warm. I still don't know whether I should feel relieved or heartbroken, and it feels as though the emotion of grief has yet to fully reach me."
He continued, "Perhaps it's because I'm still in shock. Perhaps it's because my father's birthday wasn't far away and I never had the chance to share one last meal with him. Or perhaps it's because I feel guilty for having been nothing but an obstacle whenever he stood at major crossroads in life. Maybe it's because, after deciding to finally live properly, I never got the chance to show him his son succeeding and smiling happily. My emotions are complicated and difficult to describe."
Addressing his father directly, he added, "To my beloved father, if you have worries now, please talk them over with grandfather beside you. After carrying so much on your shoulders throughout your life, please rest peacefully and no longer hide your gentle heart. I love you more than words can express. Thank you for everything. I'll come visit often."
Born in 2000, NO:EL first gained public recognition through appearances on Mnet's 'High School Rapper' and 'Show Me the Money 6' in 2017.
In 2019, he received a sentence of one year and six months in prison, suspended for two years, for drunk driving. In 2021, he was sentenced to one year in prison after refusing a breathalyzer test and assaulting a police officer.
