Sandara Park opened up about how 22 years in the spotlight changed her relationship with perfectionism. The 2NE1 member appeared on MBC Standard FM's 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio' on June 24 for a candid chat about her career.
Host Son Tae-jin asked what's changed most since her debut. Sandara Park said her entire approach to work and her public image has shifted over the years.
She admitted she used to have "a strong compulsion for perfection" — feeling like she had to look flawless every time she stepped out. That pressure wore her down and kept her from actually enjoying the ride.
These days, she's let go of those impossible standards. "I've let go a lot," she said, adding that she's now comfortable jumping into projects even when she doesn't feel 100% camera-ready.
That shift has made all the difference. Sandara Park said she can finally appreciate her journey for what it is — imperfections and all — and that her time in the industry feels far more rewarding because of it.
