SEVENTEEN's dynamic new unit, V8, featuring members The8 and Vernon, has made an impressive global impact with their first mini album, 'V8'. Released on June 29, the album and its title track, "singasong," immediately soared to the top of various international music charts.
According to reports on June 30, 'V8' quickly dominated China's QQ Music, securing the daily #1 spot on the 'Digital Bestseller Album' chart and achieving 'Triple Gold' certification within just four hours of its release. The album also ranked #4 on Japan's Line Music real-time 'Album Top 100' and #5 on the 'Worldwide iTunes Album' chart. "singasong" also entered the 'Top Song' charts in 9 countries and regions on iTunes, showcasing the unit's explosive global appeal.
In celebration of their success and to immerse fans in their unique sound, V8 will host the '[V8] POP-UP' store at the HYBE Yongsan building from July 4 to July 9. The pop-up is designed to vividly recreate the 'Consumed Youth' theme of their mini album, featuring a large media wall playing the "singasong" music video, props like sofas and RC cars from the MV, a dedicated listening zone, and a graphic photo zone. The event will also showcase collaboration clothing with renowned fashion designer Kazuki Kuraishi, blending music with subculture lifestyle.
Fans can also look forward to seeing V8 perform on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on July 2. Following this, the unit will hold exclusive live concerts, starting in Goyang, Gyeonggi, at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1, Hall 1 on July 11 and 12, before heading to Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 from July 17 to 19.
