Global K-pop group SEVENTEEN is bringing back their popular original web series, 'Going Seventeen,' for a brand new season. The first episode is scheduled to premiere on July 8.
To build anticipation, the group unveiled a 2026 opening title sequence on their official YouTube channel on July 1. The video creatively uses stop-motion animation to revisit memorable moments from fan-favorite past episodes, including "Insomnia-Zero," "GOING RANGERS," "The Trap," and "MC Boo Seok Soon: Dangerous Invitation."
Since adopting a full-fledged variety show format in 2019, 'Going Seventeen' has released over 200 episodes and accumulating nearly 1.5 billion total views. The show's popularity extends beyond their official fandom, CARAT, to the general public, thanks to the members' natural chemistry, sharp wit, and consistently fresh concepts.
Leading up to the new season, SEVENTEEN kept fans engaged with special content. In March, they released a special episode titled "2026 GOING Emergency Meeting," where the members reflected on past segments and discussed ideas for the future. They also launched the "GGoing_Jip" series, which mashed up classic scenes from previous episodes into new, themed compilations.
The return of 'Going Seventeen' is part of the group's broader, multi-faceted activities. The unit V8, consisting of members The8 and Vernon, recently released their first mini-album, while Dino is preparing to release a solo album under his alter-ego, Pi Cheolin, on August 3.
