It is nearly impossible to discuss brand power and fashion without mentioning Jimin. With his perfect body proportions and angelic features, Jimin can make any attire look highly appealing to anyone. Not only so, but the elegance and class with which he carries himself and the brand he wears make the whole look even more enchanting.
This is why Jimin is continuously asserting himself as a household name in the fashion industry, having been nominated as a member of the BOF in 2019, the only third-generation idol to achieve this kind of recognition. The Business of Fashion (BOF) consists of a select few individuals from around the globe who are considered to shape the multi-billion dollar global fashion industry. In addition, media reports previously revealed that he was the decisive factor behind the fruition of the BTS and Louis Vuitton global ambassadorship deal [read here], and he even landed the very significant and much-coveted position as the opening model for the brand's fashion show for the Men's Fall-Winter 2021 collection by Virgil Abloh held in Seoul, despite being his first time modeling on a runway [read here]. Even with such big achievements, Jimin continues to prove his impact in the industry each day.
Reminder that Park Jimin is part of the BOF 500 since his nomination in the class of 2019.

His iconic and unique fashion taste has proven its impact many times over the years, from 'sold-out King' to 'LV Frontman', he truly is our #FashionIconJimin pic.twitter.com/7TaTxc73xu
On January 29th, Canadian entertainment media The Things published a news feature on how K-pop is taking over the fashion industry and specifically singled out Jimin's impact. The author mentioned the recent GQ Korea X VOGUE Korea collaboration for a special edition January 2022 issue that featured BTS on the cover of both magazines simultaneously for the first time ever, with the members wearing pieces from the Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring-Summer 2022 Collection by Virgil Abloh.
Jimin looked absolutely ethereal and elegant in the photoshoot for this issue, so much so that his individual cover (there were eight total covers, seven for individual members and one group cover) ranked as the #1 best seller for a full week on three of South Korea's biggest online bookstores, and was the only 'popular' individual cover on Yahoo Japan for a full week [read here].
The Things, reports that the LV pieces that Jimin wore for this photoshoot went completely out of stock, with one of the items reported to have cost approximately $8,212. This is a very high amount, and for the pieces to completely sell out after Jimin wore them speaks volumes to his power. The article states, "Clearly fans are obsessed, wanting to know everything about Jimin and dress like him too."

Meanwhile, the third round of pre-orders was opened for the artist-made merch collection by BTS, and yet again, Jimin's pieces sold out at lightning speed. Jimin's self-designed hoodie and pair of earrings had sold out the fastest both during the first and second round of preorders, with the first round's rush even causing Weverse shop servers to crash due to the high web traffic. He was the only member who caused such a stampede on the platform, as reported by various media outlets in South Korea and internationally. New reports are still being published on this phenomenal influence, such as the report by a Malaysian newspaper Kosmo published online on January 29th.
INFO • Malaysian newspaper Kosmo! reported on Jimin’s merch for BTS' self-designed collection selling out within 0.1 second after launch.

They further highlighted that Weverse Shop servers crashed at the time of Jimin’s merch release due to massive traffic on the site. pic.twitter.com/GskJZE17Jj
He even became the most mentioned person under the Apparel and Accessories category after his merch release, according to market intelligence platform reports, surpassing big names in fashion such as Yves Saint-Laurent and Bella Hadid [read here].
His items are in such high demand, and fans who are yet to secure any of the products lament how fast they are selling out. Most are not even getting the chance to add the items to their cart as they say the products go from 'Coming Soon' straight to 'Sold Out' once they refresh the page.
I couldn’t get the hoodie again💔
