On April 17, Kim Ji Yoon, the elder sister of BLACKPINK member Jisoo, drew public attention after sharing a cosmetics brand promotional post on her Instagram.
In the post, Kim Ji Yoon uploaded several photos alongside the advertisement. She was seen showcasing refined and elegant features, with many online users commenting on her resemblance to her younger sister, Jisoo.
Kim Ji Yoon is currently active as a social media influencer. She has approximately 550,000 followers on Instagram and also operates a personal YouTube channel where she shares lifestyle and content-based videos.
She is also set to appear in the upcoming tvN entertainment program 'KILL IT: Fashion Survival,' a fashion survival show featuring creators competing to be recognized as the most “iconic” figure in the industry. The program is scheduled to premiere on May 12 at 10:10 PM KST.
Meanwhile, attention has also been drawn to BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s family after a handwritten letter, allegedly from the wife of her older brother, circulated online with claims of domestic abuse, including verbal and physical violence. The allegations have not been verified, and no official statement has been released.
Separately, the Seoul Prosecutor’s Office rejected an arrest warrant on April 17 for a man in his 30s (“Kim”) accused of sexual assault, citing insufficient justification. He was previously arrested after a reported incident following a paid dinner meeting, but denies any wrongdoing, claiming consent. Media reports linking him to a BLACKPINK member’s family sparked online speculation, while the case remains under investigation alongside a related harassment report filed by the victim.
