The film 'Colony' has surpassed 1 million moviegoers only four days after its release, marking the fastest pace among 2026 releases.

According to the Integrated Ticketing System of the Korean Film Council, Korean Film Council reported on May 24 that 'Colony' had accumulated a total of 1,089,996 admissions, officially crossing the 1-million mark that morning.

'Colony' depicts a survival thriller set inside a sealed building during an unidentified outbreak, where isolated survivors confront infected beings that evolve in increasingly unpredictable forms.

The achievement is particularly notable as it surpasses the pace of this year’s top-grossing film, 'The King's Warden,' which drew approximately 16.85 million viewers, making Colony the fastest 2026 release to reach 1 million admissions.

Following its world premiere at the 'Cannes Film Festival,' 'Colony' has drawn significant global attention. Since its domestic release, the film has consistently held the No. 1 spot at the box office, continuing its strong commercial momentum.
