The hit variety franchise 'Flowers Over' is making a long-awaited return after eight years, drawing significant attention from viewers.
Producer Na Young Seok’s signature variety brand is coming back for the first time since 'Grandpas Over Flowers' ended in 2018.
tvN’s new variety show 'Youth Over Flowers: Unplanned Trip Limited Edition' has confirmed its premiere for Sunday, May 3, at 7:30 PM. Adding to the excitement, Jung Yoo Mi, Park Seo Joon, and Choi Woo Shik—who previously showcased perfect chemistry on the hit show 'Jinny’s Kitchen,' which recorded peak ratings of 11.1%—are set to join the cast.

A teaser video released on April 22 via official channels drew attention for its unique format, featuring footage filmed directly by the cast rather than a professional production crew. In the video, the trio can be seen laughing freely like children while riding the subway and trains, remarking, “Honestly, it's fun even when we do nothing,” highlighting their long-standing friendship and natural chemistry.
Jung Yoo Mi, in particular, caught viewers’ eyes with her down-to-earth charm, setting aside her usual glamorous image. Ahead of the trip, she even joked, “I don’t need to put on toner or lotion,” giving up skincare entirely and sparking curiosity about the “zero-budget” travel concept.

Not to be outdone, Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik displayed their playful energy by staging an impromptu zombie-like skit in the middle of a train, showcasing the lively and witty charm only seasoned actors can deliver.
However, true to its “Limited Edition” subtitle, the journey is expected to be anything but smooth. Choi Woo Shik’s lament, “We have to travel without money,” and Park Seo Joon’s sudden suggestion, “Should we go to Jeonju and eat bibimbap?” hint at the challenging conditions hidden within the trip. The teaser ends with the phrase “And more,” suggesting a series of unpredictable episodes driven by Park Seo Joon’s impatience, Jung Yoo Mi’s decisiveness, and Choi Woo Shik’s earnest determination.

Revived after eight years, this new installment of the “Flowers Over” series departs from its traditional format of visiting glamorous tourist destinations. Instead, it follows a domestic journey filled with uncertainty—where even the destination and accommodations are unknown. Amid limited funds and constraints, the trio’s reliance on one another as they search for meaning and romance in youth is expected to resonate deeply with viewers.
'Youth Over Flowers: Unplanned Trip Limited Edition' premieres on May 3 at 7:30 PM on tvN.
