In effort to boost the image of 'Ghana Chocolate' to a 'Premium' dessert, 'Lotte' brings on Jun Ji Hyun as brand's new model

'Lotte Confectionary' has brought on board actress Jun Ji Hyun as the newest endorsement model for its signature 'Ghana Chocolate'. 

According to 'Lotte', 'Ghana Chocolate' will be adopting a new, 'Premium' image and slogan in 2023 in an effort to upgrade its status to a 'Premium' dessert. 

Originally released in 1975, 'Ghana Chocolate' is most popular among female consumers in their twenties and thirties. With its 'Premium' upgrade in 2023, the confection aims to appeal to a broader range of consumers. 

Meanwhile, earlier in the spring, 'Lotte Confectionary' launched its pop-up store 'Ghana Chocolate House' in Seongsu-dong, inviting consumers to experience the new and upgraded image of 'Ghana Chocolate'.
